On the way to Stornoway!

Our recent circular tour from Portree via Ullapool to Lewis and back through Harris to get our new exclusive Harris Tweed from Shawbost Weavers for our Saltire Harris Tweed Hip Flask see link for map of our journey:    http://t.co/RpmZE8gLfv

We had no idea that the ferry from Uig, Isle of Skye would be so busy on it's first Saturday of the summer timetable as we promised to take Andrew with us we decided that there was nothing for it but get up really early and drive to Ullapool and catch the ferry there to Lewis. (3hr drive) and come back via Uig which was only 20 minutes to home!
It was really well worth the trip and we had a great time, lots of fun and laughs along the way.

Andrew on the loom at Shawbost Weavers!
Yes, I had to buy some of this tweed that is on the loom!!
Haven't quite decided what to make with it yet - it is a gorgeous mini McIver tartan.
